Lootere is a refreshing crime thriller where a bunch of Somalian pirates hijack a ship with several Indian crew members. The vessel is carrying the illegal consignment of an Indian businessman, played by Vivek Gomber, who wants to get the cargo from the hijacked ship before it reaches its original destination at all costs. Lootere is somewhat new territory for the Indian digital space and even cinema, for that matter – which means fewer cliches. It is a good attempt by Jai Mehta, who is donning the directorial hat for the first time,
