Diablo IV review: If you’re in the mood to slay blood-lusting demons with an unhealthy dose of loot-clicking, Diablo IV is perfect for you. The sequel doesn’t re-shape the dungeon-crawling genre in any way but borrows ideas to offer intensely frenetic combat, robust progression, and totally knocks it out of the park with its dark, sacrilegious themes. The shift to an open world was a great choice to immerse players into the Sanctuary’s plight, albeit the story feels quite basic with poor pacing. Cosmetic microtransactions aside, Diablo 4 is a devilishly addictive game.
